SURFING IN EL SALVADOR

EL SALVADOR is a great surf destination all year round; Do not worry about the wet season, the rains are mostly at night and the wind is on shore only in the late afternoon, during the day the conditions are great for size and off shore wind or no wind! There are miles and miles of coastline with right point breaks, reef breaks, a-frame and beach breaks!

The point breaks will surprise you, with perfect and endless right handers, there are over 12 world class points, such as Punta Roca that break for over 500m in the optimum conditions.

The wet season (May - November) has bigger swells, with waves on average over head size and swells that also reach 8-12 ft. At this time, in the morning is always glassy, with a light offshore that starts late in the morning until the early afternoon.

In the dry season the swells are smaller, but good 2 to 4 ft waves give unforgettable surf sessions.
